BEHOLD THE MAN & WOMAN OF GOD!
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Psalm 118:17
Pastor Johnnie. G. Redmond
Pastor Johnnie G. Redmond is a man of wisdom, prayer, and purpose who serves as Pastor and Founder of Emmanuel Temple Evangelistic Church. His goal is to do the will of God and empower the people around the world with the tools to live according to the word of God.
In 1980, Pastor Redmond began evangelizing throughout the City of Chicago. That same year, the Lord blessed him to marry Lenora A. Brown and of that union, four daughters were born. In 1986, after attending the minister's classes at Monument of Faith Evangelistic Church, the late Apostle Richard D. Henton specifically chose and ordained him as a minister.
In 1991, he received the vision of Emmanuel Temple Evangelistic Church and accepted the call of Pastoral Ship. The church was established in his own home for two years. In 1994, the ministry moved to a rented building, and then purchased its present Church in Chicago, Illinois in 1996.
Pastor Redmond is an instrument anointed by God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
His desire is to destroy the works of Satan in the lives of God's people. Because of his passion, dedication, and surrendered lifestyle, God has anointed him with the power and authority to do just that.
First Lady Lenora A. Redmond
First Lady Lenora Redmond came to know the Lord as her personal savior in 1979 and was chosen to be the wife of Pastor Johnnie G. Redmond. They were married in 1980 and to this union four daughters were born.
My first ministry was to my family through the guiding of the Holy Spirit and the word of God. In the midst of the trials of marriage and rising a family God called us to Ministry in 1991, which started in our home.
During that first year I was a First Lady in title only. God had to shape and mold me into the First Lady he called me to be. Over the years I have learned so many things about myself and what God wanted to put in me and take out of me.
I don’t take the call of God lightly and am not one to stand in the way of what the will of God is for this ministry, and I'm not one to take a back seat.
I am many things in the body of Christ. I am a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, have the gift of intercessory prayer, and work closely with my husband in the ministry.
I am also the president of the women’s ministry at Emmanuel Temple, working with the women to continue to build on the foundation set before us. Teaching the women to submit to their own husbands and the singles to God. I want the women to know how to be good stewards over their home and family.
My greatest passion in the ministry is the marriage ministry to which I am also the president. The marriage ministry was founded in 2004 and God gave me the name "Husband Love Your Wife/Wife Reverence Your Husband Marriage Ministry". The marriage ministry conducts a weekend seminar every year at a selected resort. Many marriages has been restored through this ministry. My motto is "save a marriage, save a family, and you save the church".
God has made me strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. It takes a strong woman of God to walk along side-by-side with an anointed man of God. We are faithful to God, to one another, and the ministry. I know my place in the ministry and what God has called me to do. As the scripture says a wise woman will build her house, but a foolish woman will pluck it down with her hands.
